CHRISTMAS GIVING  

 

The team at SheDo Tax Company in Hagersville (lt. to rt. Kelly Rust Julie Hannigan, Shannon Smith & Rachel Whitlock) generously donated chocolate bars to our Meals on Wheels clients in Hagersville, Cayuga and Caledonia areas.  The delicious chocolate bars are made right in Hagersville at My Sweet Sweet World, an Artisan Micro Facility making delicious chocolate using beans from Nigeria.  The chocolate bars came with a handwritten note from the staff at SheDo and were delivered to Meals on Wheels clients receiving hot or frozen meals.


A special thank you as well to the congregation at the Trinity Canadian Reformed Church in Caledonia who also sought to bring some Christmas joy to our clients.  Twenty-five gift baskets filled with Christmas treats were delivered to clients in the Hagersville and Caledonia area.  The recipients were so pleased with the baskets and the visit by Volunteers from the church.


We are so appreciative of the support of our community partners who helped make the Christmas season a little brighter (and sweeter!) for our clients.

To welcome back our dedicated Volunteers, a "Covid Care Package” was created with some safety items to help our Volunteers stay safe while providing service to clients.  We were very fortunate to have some donations that helped build our package:

Cayuga Mutual Insurance Company:  Covered cost of Hand sanitizer & Lysol wipes, paper masks, care package bags

Salverda Enterprises (Tim Hortons):  Free large coffee 

McDonald’s Restaurant:   Free cheeseburger coupon

Haldimand Norfolk Sewing for Covid 19 Group:  Reusable Face Masks
